Kite Beach – In Dubai’s sportiest beach, besides kite surfing, there are plenty of other beach activities like beach volleyball, SUP surfing and kayaking. Other activities include a skatepark and an outdoor trampoline and a new 16 km cycling path. After a fun day, you can go for a bite in one of the many beachside cafes or food trucks.
Palm West Beach – With all-day beachfront entertainment, water sports, and the best Dubai skyline views on the 1.6km of promenade, you are in for plenty of fun. You can get your heart pumping along the walking and running trail, indulge in slow dining, or enjoy gazing at picture-perfect sunsets.
Sunset Beach – Sunset Beach, is the perfect place to relax with iconic views of the Burj Al Arab in the distance. It is one of the quieter beaches along the coast with a beautiful area for morning jogs and strolls and perfect for watching the sunset across the Arabian Gulf.
Al Mamzar Beach – composed by five pristine beaches, including foot and bike paths sided by palm trees, this extensive park and beach is a great option for a day out.
It also features lush barbecue areas, landscaped playgrounds, lagoons, and a sheltered beach for a small fee per person.
In Dubai, there are plenty of experiences for the whole family.
In the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa families can visit the 124th Floor’s observation deck for some breathtaking views.
At night they can witness the world’s largest choreographed fountain, best enjoyed from the floating boardwalk or from a traditional wooden abra boat along the Burj lake.
For a fun-filled day, families should head to The Dubai Mall, where kids will be kept busy at the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo or the Dubai Ice Rink, while adults shop at more than 1,200 outlets across the mall. Another option is spending the day at Dubai Creek, home to Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood where many of the city's museums and galleries thrive.
The more adventurous families should make sure to visit the Aquaventure Waterpark or to experience the majesty of Dubai’s desert by booking a safari or by camping under the stars.
There are also plenty of entertainment options. You can combine a live show with dinner at Dubai Opera or explore the nation's arts and memorabilia at Etihad Museum.
Make sure you don't miss out on some top activities and places before leaving Dubai.
Skydiving – Adventure-seekers must sign up for a skydiving over the Jumeirah Palm experience. Skydive Dubai provides tandem skydive opportunities, supervised by trained professionals.
Dubai Frame – Located in the Zabeel Park this cultural landmark connects Dubai's past with its present thanks to its sweeping panoramic 360 views of the city from 150m high.
Dubai Miracle Garden – it's the world's largest natural flower garden and includes an impressive line-up of famous buildings and structures transformed into colorful flower displays.
For the little ones, the nearby Dubai Butterfly Garden offers the chance to explore over 15,000 species of butterflies in a fun and educational setting.
City Walk – City Walk offers European-style pedestrian streets alongside a host of shopping and entertainment options.
In the Green Planet you can spot real wildlife in an indoor tropical rainforest setting. You can also catch a concert, live sports or a comedy show at the nearby Coca-Cola Arena.
Hot Air Balloon ride – passengers can have a one-of-a-kind experience sharing the sky (and the basket) with falcons while enjoying a unique aerial adventure with amazing views of the red desert sands, the sun, and the majestic mountain range.
Dune bashing and sandboarding – Tackle the dunes in four-wheel-drive vehicles or slide down the dunes on a surfboard or ride a quad bike. Excitement is guaranteed with cars often going down the dunes sideways!
Dinner in the Sky – Visitors can take home an unforgettable souvenir and take heart-stopping selfies while dining 50 meters above the ground with some of the best views of the city's skyline.
